Monogram Styles
Three letters usually compose monograms and they should read this way:
When all letters are the same size: BSH - Brooke Shannon Hanson
- For personal stationery
First, middle and last name initials
- For married couples stationery
Bride's first name, groom's first name, and groom's
last name initials
When middle letter is larger than the rest: BHS - Brooke Shannon Hanson
- For personal stationery
First, last and middle name initials
- For married couples stationery
Bride's first name, groom's last name, and groom's
first name initials
Informal Notes
More commonly known as thank you notes, the informal note is a personalized folded note. They are usually personalized with the couple's name or monogram on the front of the folder. A card, personalized on the top or bottom, is acceptable, though not traditional.
The critical issue is to acknowledge having received a gift. Feel comfortable to use any cards or paper personalized or not to send a thank you note.
